In 1976, Mr Gerhard Vogt founded a drilling equipment engineering and vehicle trade company
together with Mr Günther Falk.
By the late 70s, the company started construction of a turning shop as a contract manufacturer and was soon able to win contracts from well-known companies among the drilling operations and international companies in the oil and gas industry based in Celle.
The slogan "turning-grooving-milling" has gained more and more importance since the mid-80s.
The number of employees grew steadily in the 90s. The plant expanded significantly with the purchase of adjacent industrial space and the construction of several new production and storage facilities between 1999 and 2001.
Since the death of Gerhard Vogt in September 2000, Mr Wolfgang Vogt has been running the company on his own. The experienced and motivated team has helped him in recent years to meet the ever increasing customer demands placed on WMB.
In 2011, therefore, the decision was made to set up a professional quality management system. Quality Management (QM) refers to all organizational measures aimed at improving the quality of processes and services, and thereby of any kind of product.
In 2013, the administration moved into a newly remodelled building in the centre of the business premises.
2014 was dedicated to the extension of the company's quality control and infrastructure. The former administration area was converted into the Inspection and Shipping departments. At the same time the company qualified to become an SSR (Supplier Self Release) supplier for a well-known customer. This qualification allows companies to directly ship select products throughout the world without further external controls. These forward-looking projects further improve processing times, quality and cooperation with the customer.
Westerceller Maschinenbau GmbH is constantly developing and is looking forward to the challenges of the future.
